Fire & Frost Part II

This is what I wrote yesterday about the Fire & Frost Festival...

"Friday went went to a "Fire and Frost" Festival in Peddler's Village, Pa.
You may remember we were here a few weeks ago to see the Christmas Light display
and the Gingerbread house Contest they have for Christmas.
This festival was super fun with firepits, fire jugglers, fire dancers...
over 30 ice sculptures and a super fun scavenger hunt.
They also had a live ice carving demonstration.

These ice sculptures were already done,
and covered during the daytime so they would not melt."

This is the second half of the ice sculptures...
we found all but 1 or 2 of the 30, some were logo's for sports teams,
those I did not photograph.

Olaf next Elsa from Frozen

Elsa

This was my favorite!

This was a very cool snowflake ice throne.
A really nice woman took this picture for us.

And the icing on the cake was the scavenger hunt.
You had to search the village for large Jack Frost Figures.
Each figure had a number and a word that corresponded to that number.
You had to write the word into the corresponding numbered
blank space on your card.
Once completed, you were able to figure out the riddle.
We never found the #10 word of the 2nd riddle...
I'm sure the answer is "mittens" but we could not find the last word!
This was so much fun!
oooooh and the hubs cheated,
trying to pre-guess the words and solve the riddle before I could.
not very nice - hahahaha

Those sculptures were fantastic. Again... you live in such a great area to have all those interesting things to see. Thanks for sharing.

Sandals? Really? It looks a little chilly for those! My favorite in this bunch was the mermaid.

sounds like you had a fun evening with the scavenger, wow was that throne cold to sit on :). I think the lights behind the ice sculptures sure did add to how cool they looked!
