Busy, Busy...Busy

I have been busy, very busy...swimming, yes swimming - it is work you know.
hehehehe

These hot pink Hydrangeas are gorgeous right now...
and there are a lot more coming.

I started a new knitting project yesterday,
see...lots of work!

- 22 Little Clouds -
A beautiful shawlette with long ends
that can be comfortably around your neck and
secured with a small knot.

Knitted with Cascade Yarn
100% Peruvian Highland Wool
Cascade 220 - Heathers

Knitting outside yesterday was wonderful.
Cool temperatures, beautiful breeze, no bugs, it was perfect,
I did not want the day to end!

Here's what we are going for...

The shawl will have that cute little ruffle on the end.

Today is suppose to be just like yesterday,
they are calling for a pool day,
I am calling for knitting poolside!

12 Summer Questions

I had a visit from a blogger who does not generally comment on my blog
She shared these 12 Summer Questions on her blog, and I thought they were fun.

1. Best Bathing Spot ~ We have beautiful beaches here in New Jersey,
but the best bathing spot is right here, in my backyard pool.

One Of My Favorite Places To Go...Part II

The Point Pleasant Inlet...taking boats out to or in from the ocean.
Choppy water, lined with jetty rocks,
these are the party and commercial boats who make their living at sea.

- commercial fishing, it's more than just a job, it's a way of life -

One Of My Favorite Places To Go

is the Point Pleasant Inlet...taking boats out to or in from the ocean.
Choppy water, lined with jetty rocks, it is a place I find to be very peaceful.

Only 10 minutes from home, we stop here all the time, often visiting before driving home.
We sat here on our first date and talked for hours, something that came easy for us.
Conversation - it was effortless!
I take pictures every time we visit...I don't need pictures,
I have plenty saved on my computer, I just can't help myself.
These 2 pictures were taken on June 3rd .

The rest are some favorites from here,
the boats vary in type, all beautiful in their own way.
I'll show the pleasure boats today, the commercial fishing crafts tomorrow.

"Our" lock hangs here on the fence provided at the inlet, just to the left of the second "P"!

- the goal is not to sail the boat, but rather to help the boat sail itself -

Saturday's Critters #445

I have had several outings this week to gaze upon nature
and the tiny critters that call the outdoors home.

We first saw this Gosling on June 15th, there was only one.
I assume there were many more Goslings, but on this day only one was left.
The first 2 images are from that day.

We went back on June 19th to find the gosling with mom and dad in around the same spot.
That was a good sign...perhaps it would survive.
The image above and the 2 below are from the 19th of June.

This was the last image I took on June 19th,
when we went back on the 23rd the gosling was gone...
perhaps, the circle of life!

This handsome Egret was at Lake of the Lilies on the 23rd,

tiny fish in beak, I liked the reflection in this picture.

Red-Winged Black Birds are everywhere at the lake,
they are fun to watch and a delight to listen to.
