Be Like A Sunflower

Very last minute, aren't those trips the best, we took a drive to
to see their gorgeous display of sunflowers, mums, wildflowers and farm animals.

This is a U-Pick Sunflower festival...one dollar per stem, you can cut any of the flowers in the field.
They provide buckets and clippers, you provide the fun.

There are over 60 acres of flowers, plenty for everyone.

Advice From A Sunflower

The fields were gorgeous...sunflowers as far as the eye could see.

I like these light yellow sunflowers best!

There were so many spots for awesome photo opportunities...
I think we took a picture at every. single. one.

- gorgeous mums -

- we have missed this -

and we had so much fun...

We went for a tractor ride, which was super fun and a little bouncy.

Another Look At New Zealand

You may remember that I shared with you that one of my beautiful nieces lives in
New Zealand.
She grew up here at the Jersey Shore,
but decided to move to and live full time in New Zealand.
I asked her to send me some more pictures of the beautiful country in which she lives...
and she did that with the help of her amazing husband Juan.

Soon it will be spring there and Emily is going to send me pictures of the Cherry Blossoms.

Do you have a favorite image...mention it in the comments.
The 1st and 3rd were my favorites!

What A Wonderful Weekend

Friday, felt like pizza, so we decided to take a ride and get our favorite pizza at,
Pete & Elda's
We drove to the Ocean Grove beach, shared zucchini sticks on the way, vegetables are important, right??
then we enjoyed their best thin crusted pizza, with sausage, peppers and onions.
It was so good and we dined by the beach with a perfect view of the ocean.

Afterward, we took the Zinger for a spin.
I rode several miles on the boardwalk, from Ocean Grove to Asbury Park and back.

We happened upon this fence decorated with croched and knitted flowers.
You can see the ocean in the background.

Saturday was National Alpaca Farm Days at my favorite farm...
I went for a 1/2 hour visit, that's a joke that my farm friends will understand.
I sat to knit and I knitted a total of 2 stitches because we were so busy talking and laughing.

Here are a few of my knitting friends, it was so good to see my girls.

We went to a party on Sunday for my great nephews first birthday.

We had a great time and a wonderful, action packed weekend!

Saturday's Critters # 406

 The Monarchs are Migrating...

I saw this unusual duck up in Rhode Island...

does anyone know of an identification on this duck?

- be like a duck -
- paddling and working hard under water, but what everyone else sees is a calm smiling face -
