Saturday's Critters # 404

I am feeling better, thank you all so much for your kind words and well wishes!!
We went for a drive in the car yesterday,
our usual places and I captured a few "exciting to me" moments.

We went to the Point Pleasant Inlet first to watch the boats coming and going.
There was very little boat activity, just a lot of fisherman.
I was surprised to notice this Plover running along the concrete ledge there.
Moving very quickly,
and not caring about the fishermen, it was not easy to get a picture of this fast moving little guy.

Next we drove to Lake of the Lilies and startled this...

Great Blue Heron

it walked into the overgrowth of grasses and disappeared.

These swans were in quite the "kerfuffle", squealing and hissing at each other...

while this one rested quietly, keeping both eyes on me.

I'm so glad you are feeling some better and got to take a little drive. That's such a good place to see beautiful birds. I love that last one with the clear blue water and summer grasses. Take care and get well soon!

So good to hear you continue to feel well and that you were even able to get out for a drive.
Wow you had a great picture taking day, love the little plover, so nice he could enjoy himself and not be worried about the fishermen! Check out my post from yesterday :)

Good news that you are feeling better and I hope each day brings more strength. Always pretty pictures but I bet that plover was a challenge as all its pictures includes a leg in the air.

So glad you are feeling better! I bet the ride was a great thing to do to help lift your spirits!! Great pictures of all the birds! I do like blue herons. We used to see a lot of them when we lived in the San Diego area. Enjoyed seeing them in their nests with their babies :)

Happy Saturday!

Hi Debbie! I missed your last post, but so glad you are doing better... and that hubby has stayed well. Love all your pictures, and can't believe that tomato slice grew like that (from your last post). I would never have thought to plant it. I think you are a strong woman with a great attitude towards life...

Hello Debbie,:=) So glad you were able to get out for a drive, and are feeling better. I have also been ill, haven't blogged for a while, but am feeling better. I have to be careful about my diet as I was diagnosed with bowl cancer 16 months ago and was operated , did treatment, and was unwell for a long time. I sometimes forget I have to be careful what I eat.

So sorry, I digress, I want to say The group swan picture is beautiful, and you did well to capture of the fast running Plover. A lovely little shore bird.
