Remembering 9/12...

Remembering September 11th is both sobering and important...
a day none of us will ever forget.
But remembering September 12th...is equally important,
it was the day our nation rallied together...the feeling of unity and kindness we all possessed on that day.
A day when
first responders, police, firefighters and volunteers all answered the call to help and serve.
The day was heartbreaking for so many,
but I remember the feeling of American bravery and resilience in the face of such adversity.

- no day shall erase you from the memory of time -

Hello,
Love this post Debbie, it is so true. I will never forget what happened on Sept 11, 2001. But, the days after 9/11 were ones of unity, bravery and kindness. Have a happy day and a great new week!

Exactly what I posted on facebook and in fact on the eve of Sept 12 the congress stood and sang "God bless America" and now they won't even stand for the pledge of allegiance.

Hugs to USA. In the main garden of my city, near the Town Hall, at that time, the Municipality put a plate to remember.and to pay homage to the victims.

We need to work together... pull together again as we did then... against back then a common enemy. Now the enemy seems to be within. Somehow we need to unify our country again. Forget politics and fight Covid. This needs to become a united goal.

Sept 12 is also the day the people of Gander rallied together and fed and housed the over 6000 Americans stranded there when U.S. airspace closed.

Thanks for posting this one. I loved the photos and thoughts. 911 is a day of remembrance. My husband and I have been busy helping set up some service projects in our city. It was all part of a 9ll National Day of Service. We were assigned an area to clean all the storm drains. It wasn't very hard, but it did rain some of the time. We actually had a lot of fun doing it.
Blessings and hugs!
