A Little Of This & A Whole Lot Of Nothing

Are you watching the Olympics?
We are, and we have really been enjoying all of the different sports.
Figure skating is a favorite, and I was so happy that skating was first in the line-ups.
Snow boarding is also a favorite and I enjoyed watching the girls last night.
I'm looking forward to watching Shaun White on his board.
I know this will be his last olympics...how lucky are we to be able to watch it.

I have been coloring a lot...too much, but I just can't help myself, I am so fond of this hobby.
It helps me to relax, to feel calm and peaceful.
Have you ever tried these Twistable colored pencils, they are my favorites,
my friend Liz got them for me.

I made this card for my great nephew Kalmin who just recently turned 3.
I added a check and three singles for his piggy bank.
It is a shaker card, you can shake, shake, shake the sequins in the main square.

I picked up my Flower Mix seeds for spring
"bring home the butterflies"
These will go around the new deck, when they installed it, they dug up all of my wildflowers.

My pretty Cowl is off the needle and ready to be washed and blocked.
It will lay flat and be much prettier once blocked, but I could not wait to share it here.

Last night, the hubs made this amazing steak and potatoes dinner on the grill.
I love grilling in the cold of winter!

Love your cowl! It's so pretty. Do you start your seeds inside or just throw them in the dirt for spring? I really want to be better this year with a garden/seeds/flowers, etc. Every year I say I'm going to do better but I fail!

You make me anxious for spring and planting. I'm going to get a veg trug and possibly some planting bags I've been reading about. Not sure when I should order either, but with the shipping problems lately... maybe soon. I've not planted anything in so long that I will have to research best time to plant in our area. Your hubby's supper looks wonderful!

i would order it soon if you really want it. there are other companies that cary similar items but i did a lot of research and found the one i have to be the best. we filled the very bottom with empty water bottles so we did not need as much soil. start your vegetables indoors and the then get them use to outdoor temperatures by bringing them in at night, out during the day. google how long you should do that for!!

supper was awesome and definitely sent us both in to a food coma!!!

Hi there Debbie, your coloring is so pretty! I don't have the patience to sit down and color, LOL! I DO LOVE to sit down and make old fashioned scrapbooks, photo/memory albums, junk journals, etc. I am busy now making Valentines, I like to do that, cards and Valentines. I love seeing all the pretty things you create like the scarves, hats, etc....I also would NOT HAVE the patience to sit down and try to do that! ha ha LOL. A post or two back I loved that picture of that blue jay you posted, my gosh, he just GLOWED with color, so pretty. I liked your wedding post too. Soon as you mentioned that song I IMMEDIATELY thought of a line from that song that I always loved---"there's a warm wind blowing the stars around".....and then at the bottom of your post, there you wrote it! Yes, that is a beautiful song. I loved seeing your wedding pictures. What a beautiful bride you were and you are still just as beautiful today. What a pretty dress you wore, love all the lace. Hope your week has started out great. ANY MORE SNOW???!! LOL

Oh I love that cowel, my grammie used to knit and crochet all the time. I love the color cards, I just started doing that and love it. Do you use the twistable colored pencils or crayons. Such lovely work on them also. Have a great day.

I so agree that coloring and just my cardmaking in general can calm me down if I have had a stressful day, so thankful for the hobby and that it may bring a little joy to those that receive them makes it even better :) I have not seen those twistables, I will have to look for them the next time I go out. Your shaker card is so cute, and I like the little bit for the piggy bank, I did that for all my neices and nephews up until they turned 18.
I haven't seen much of the Olympics but I do enjoy watching Shaun so I will have to check that out tonight.
The Cowl looks great, bet it always feels good when you get your project off the needles :)
Oh yummy meal, I should get some steaks out for us to grill this week when it is supposed to be warmer, we still have quite a bit of snow out on our deck though.

I do love the cowl. I think the shaker card is awesome. That three year old will love it. I do love your coloring cards and I think I will try it. I could use something like this to relax with.
We are enjoying the Olympics. Very excited about the young man that took the Gold in Ice Skating. He graduated from the same high school Roger and I went too. I loved that. His last performance he wore West High Colors.
Your dinner looks delicious. I would like that for Valentines.
I guess it is time to get flower seeds for the spring. I do hope this year we actually get to plant flowers and get our yard cleaned up.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs!

It is great to see your coloring. I have not watched any of the Olympics and am so sad to see Shaun White retiring. He has had an amazing career and I have enjoyed watching him over the years.

Your cowl is gorgeous. I love that color too.

I bet those flower seeds will be beautiful around your deck.
