Saturday Critters #557

Thursday was an "epic" day for me...am I too old to say that?
The hubs and I traveled about an hour south to Margate, New Jersey to see the
Clydesdale Horses
There is a nice article about their visit to the Jersey Shore here.
The Clydesdale Horse is the most prominent horse worldwide for its beauty, gentleness and serene nature.
There was a time when they were thought to be endangered, but with all the efforts made to save them,
they are no longer endangered.
They can be seen in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Australia, they originate from Scotland.
Fun fact...a clydesdale horse demands a double stall for comfort!
One can be purchased today for $ 10,000.00 or less.
They are amazing horses.

These horses have enormous feet, known to be as big as dinner plates.

There was more "epic" fun on Thursday, I'll share that on Monday!

Hello Debbie :)
The Clydesdale horses are just magnificent. They are huge, and look like they are heavy duty horses Their hooves must be unique to this breed as I have never seen hooves like this before, but think they are most attractive, The Dalmatian dog looks like it's enjoying the parade.:)
All the best
Sonjia.

Great photos and very interesting facts about these magnificent horses. We used to see them when we visited Busch Gardens years ago when our son was young. Epic is an excellent word BTW :) It perfectly describes your enthusiasm for being in such company.

Best job in the world! How would you like to be traveling the country carry for and driving the Bud wagon. And you are never too old to say "Epic", in fact you should probably say it was just "Ep"!
