My 2021 Farmhouse Calendar

Do you remember my 2021 Calendar?

One recipe for each month, I said I would make the recipe each month and share it here.
I did not count on the fact that the ingredients might/would be hard to find.
The 1 1/2 oz package of sloppy joe mix was impossible to find.
I order all of our food on-line and none of my on-line venues carried it.
The hubs went quickly into a few stores without any luck.

Well, here it is March 1st and we just recently found the sloppy joe mix.

So here is Januarys recipe, BBQ Sloppy Joes

- the ingredients -

Brown the meat and onion, stir in the remaining ingredients...

Our buns were super soft so I did not toast them.
I think maybe the buns needed to be toasted, as called for in the recipe, to hold the soupy joe.
And I must add, this was much more like chili than traditional sloppy joes....

but the sandwiches were delicious.
And they lived up to their name, they were very sloppy joes!

And on a separate note I have been knitting a lot.
I have fallen out of love with the shawl I am working on, so I am anxious to "wrap it up".
- get it -
I tried to start a new project, at least 20 times, but who's counting...
I can't get it so I have given up!

Sorry the new project is giving you troubles, I give you credit for trying so many times, I don't have that much patience!
