Hello Debbie Lovely shots of all the water birds. The male and female Mallard ducks are the only birds I see when we visit the local park. They are such beautiful ducks ,and because they are a common sight are often overlooked. I'm so glad you didn't' because in their case the female is just as beautiful as the male. The second picture of the Killdeer is fun, wonder what he was squawking about.:)Have only just noticed that the Coot's feet are not webbed, but aren't they amazing! Have a great Weekend.
I always love seeing the sweet Killdeer! Beautiful captures of the Mallards, even the hybird is a pretty duck. The Coots have such weird looking feet, great shots. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Oh my goodness your first shot of the Killdeer so beautiful, and guess what, we have a bushy field between my house and the neighbor from our left and I can hear the song of Killdeer haven't seen one yet but so thankful they are back! It's been too long. Your photos Debbie always incredible and such a treat to view, thank you.
I love hearing the Killdeer! The Mallards are everywhere here but then mixed in with them every once in a while you spot a different kind of duck which is always a thrill.
As always, I love your bird photos. The Killdeer is a lovely bird. The ducks are my favorite today. We had a female and a male buck in our backyard. I knew what they were because of your photos and explanations. Blessings and hugs for you!

Looks like the killdeer was being very vocal. Wow the American coot has quite the feet doesn't he. Very unique markings on the duck!
