The wind is howling outdoors, it appears that March has come in like a lion.
We have gone for a few drives,
nothing exciting, but I know it is good to get out every now and again.
We saw this freight train stopped on the railroad tracks.
Once the train started back up, the man remained outside in the position in the picture.
A very slow moving freight train, I have never seen this before.
a beautiful blue sky with just a hint of snow.
it was good, but not awesome...the next loaf I make will be focaccia bread.
I made that once before and it was really delicious.
always coming by for a bite to eat, I am happy to see that it is getting around well.
Wishing you all a warm, safe, wonderful week!

Hello, Debbie
It is windy and cold, I hope the weather is warmer this week. Maybe the train was going slow because something was on the tracks? Love the scenic views and your sweet Chickadee. Take care, enjoy your day!
Thank you for the progress report on the sweet little bird. He is managing nicely by the look of it.
I love trains, freight or otherwise.
It feels so good to get out and your bread looks yummy! We had some garlic rolls this week with the oil and spice dip...oh my! I thought of you yesterday...we saw wood ducks! Hugs!
Your train reminded me of when we were in Alaska and had taken a train up into the mountains. There were 2 avalanches while we were in the train... which covered the tracks in 2 places and we had to sit there for about an hour as they sent other vehicles to get the snow off the tracks so we could return to the station. Love the bread! I have been wanting to make popovers and naan bread... maybe this week.
Oh my goodness, here too, the winds are still blowing, even howling to be honest. What a gorgeous engine you caught! I adore trains.
Hello Debbie,:=) Strangely it's been very windy where I live, A few trees have fallen on the farm. Love trains, I used to travel to work by train many moons ago, and always enjoyed the journey. It is a pretty landscape,...looks like a new park! Your bread looks delicious, but I'll be back to see your Focaccia Bread! Poor Chickadee, glad it's got your restaurant to go to.
Lovely pictures. I agree, it is good to just get out for a while.
Focaccia bread...sounds good!
Love the Chickadee, so pleased he is regularly coming by for a bite to eat.
Can you believe that it's the 2nd March!
Hope you have a good month.
All the best Jan
The hubs has a bread machine but he hasn't used it in years. It was VERY cold here lately but like you the snow is disappearing and Spring is in the air!!!...jp
wow, all sorts of fun. i love chickadees, trains and bread ... yum!! i would love some fresh bread. i often think it would be fun to try baking some bread ...have only ever watched my Grandma Mary when i was young. ( :
Greg was training to do that job on a train after he retired from the Air Force and while he was away training for it the base called him about a job he had applied for here and did an interview over the phone with him and he got the job and came back here, I was so glad he wouldn't have to be away any longer.
I think the last time I baked bread from scratch was back in high school when they had cooking classes, now I am dating myself :) Glad the injured chickadee keeps coming back!
It's nice to have a bit of snow, but not enough to make things difficult. I've always liked trains and miss the days of the caboose! Your chickadee buddy seems to be doing quite well!
The month came in like a lamb here ...so if the old saying holds true, it will be spring at your house on the 31st and snowing at mine. Oh yikes. I hope the first part of it is true , but not the second,
I think you get the best photos of unique moments. I loved the train photo. I think your homemade bread looks good. I love bread, so I would have it for sure. Your little Chickadee; is so adorable. I do hope it heals soon. I'm so happy that it is there with you.
Blessings and hugs!
