Did You See That Sunset

I thought we had missed it, I was pretty sure in fact, but we drove to the marina anyway!
The hubs drove quickly, he did not want me to be disappointed.
I would not have been, I always enjoy drives in the car with him.

Alas, when we got there, the sun was just about gone.
But there were a lot of "puffy" clouds in the sky and I thought about that second sunset.
The "show" that comes after this one, the one that paints the clouds pink.

I wandered around among the boats, most are out of the water now.
"Tide the Knot" caught my eye...what a clever play on words.

And then it happened...

the sky turned pink...

then orange...

and then dark orange!!
The sunset after the sunset, I am so happy we hung around for this, it took my breath away!

Thank you for remembering me, Debbie.

That sky was surely worth the wait.

Hi Debbie, It touched my heart to read that you always enjoy rides with your husband. That is one thing I really miss. The sunset was well worth a drive. Hope you and your sweetheart are doing well and looking forward to the holidays. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

AMAZING! You may want to enlarge that last one into a huge print. It's a rare beauty of a sunset.
(I have two sunset photos of a progressive event in Hawaii. It took me 40 years, but I finally enlarged them to 20x30")

A very spectacular sunset!
Here many boats are out of the water too for the ordinary winter maintenance on the hull.
Have a good Sunday,

Beautiful! You were right. A few minutes after sunset is often the best show! Even better when there are some clouds.

Spectacular! These took my breath away too. I actually think a story could be written around these changing clouds. Of course, I am saving these.
Blessings and hugs!
