Zero Days Until Christmas

I always feel a little bummed when this says "0"!
Not Christmas morning, but every day after!

"We" finished the Gingerbread House and I am only a tad proud.
I picked up a lot of great ideas when we visited the Gingerbread Contest.
And what about that roof, so cool, right?
The trees are my Christmas cookies,
I would have put more in the snow, but the hubs did not want to part with them.

The hubs bought me an official KC Chiefs Jersey.
Patrick Mahomes of course.
He is an awesome player but more than that, I love his story.
He is engaged to his high school sweetheart and lives a very humble life,
except for his sneaker collection.
He's so kind and at only 26, he already has a Super Bowl ring.
He led the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl Championship when he was just 24.

The Bucket List is going well...now, all I need is snow!

My great nieces got a puppy for Christmas, Lucy, is she not adorable?

- let the light of christmas, make the "season" extra long and extra bright -

I feel the same way about '0' days until Christmas! I have FOUR count down calendars and have made a morning ritual of writing in the new number.....perhaps I will make a count down calendar for September First for 2022!

I LOVE Patrick Mahomes, too!!! For all the very same reasons PLUS he's in Kansas City - my birth city and where I discovered my siblings from my father - and my father's name!! Louis Dean calls my favorite quarterbacks 'Linda's Pretty Boys!' Of course Dak is on that list and I still love Tony Romo!

Your Gingerbread house looks amazing! Will it keep? I just can't bring myself to make something I can't KEEP - not to mention I am absolutely LOUSY at Gingerbread houses! Just ask the quads!!

Happy New Year, Debbie and Chuck! Love you guys!

Your Christmas looks to be well, to say the least.

I have no idea who that football player is but I will rectify that shortly!

Love the pretzels on the side of the gingerbread house; almost looks like a log cabin version. Yes, since I'm in the KC metro, we love Patrick Mahomes. He's breaking all kinds of football quarterback records. He does donate to lots of different charities and some that he started. His little daughter is cute, and the long-time couple is supposed to get married some time, some day.
Miss Lucy is charming, looks like she's not going to stay little for very long. Linda in Kansas

Welcome to Lucy.
In Italy football is not popular but I like the story of Patrick Mahomes (I never heard of him before).
The quote about the light of Christmas is very beautiful.

hi linda...i saw pretzels on the gingerbread houses in peddlers village, i hijacked the idea from there. i really like patrick, he is very calm, even tempered and very good to his teammates. and yes, i know of his generosity as well. lucy is going to be a medium sized dog, she is very docile and she does not bark!! i hope you had a nice christmas!!!

Debbie, I too like your gingerbread house... especially the pretzel sides, roof, and your tree cookies! I've never made one myself, but do like looking at them. Yours is one of the best. The puppy is really cute too. Wishing you a happy new year!

I love how your gingerbread house looks, great idea with your cookies for the trees!
It was sad wasn't it, I was driving home from church and the station we listen to all of December was playing junk music and then it just clicked hard that oh right the Christmas songs are over now, very sad.
Oh their dog is too cute.
