Did You See That Sunset

I thought we had missed it, I was pretty sure in fact, but we drove to the marina anyway!
The hubs drove quickly, he did not want me to be disappointed.
I would not have been, I always enjoy drives in the car with him.

Alas, when we got there, the sun was just about gone.
But there were a lot of "puffy" clouds in the sky and I thought about that second sunset.
The "show" that comes after this one, the one that paints the clouds pink.

I wandered around among the boats, most are out of the water now.
"Tide the Knot" caught my eye...what a clever play on words.

And then it happened...

the sky turned pink...

then orange...

and then dark orange!!
The sunset after the sunset, I am so happy we hung around for this, it took my breath away!

  9. AMAZING! You may want to enlarge that last one into a huge print. It's a rare beauty of a sunset.
(I have two sunset photos of a progressive event in Hawaii. It took me 40 years, but I finally enlarged them to 20x30")

  10. A very spectacular sunset!
Here many boats are out of the water too for the ordinary winter maintenance on the hull.
    Have a good Sunday,

  14. Beautiful! You were right. A few minutes after sunset is often the best show! Even better when there are some clouds.
