Christmas In Rockefeller Center

Did you watch the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center?
It was on television Wednesday night and is always a fun way to kick off the Christmas season.
Lots of great music, the Rockettes and it ends as they light the Christmas tree.

I thought the tree was especially beautiful this year
and it seemed brighter than ever!

Do you have a favorite Christmas movie?
I think everyone has more than one,
my new favorites are...

- Klaus -

- Christmas Chronicles both I & II -

Elf - Home Alone - Christmas Vacation
those are my all time favorites.

I was in Target yesterday, I never go into stores anymore and it was so exciting.
The hubs needed his booster shot and CVS is inside Target,
I didn't even know that, and how awesome is that!
You did not need a mask and most people were not wearing them.
I wore mine!

Look at this shopping cart,
2 cup holders and a spot in-between for your cell phone,
wow, things have changed, this was so cool!

I shopped, browsed, hunted...
and "procured" a few items I didn't even know I needed.

I had 2 favorites...

This "already assembled" Gingerbread House
If you have never put a gingerbread house together you will not get this.
I have, I get it and it is a wonderful thing!

Hot Chocolate Spoons
It doesn't matter what they cost, they are so fun, you just have to have them.
Assorted flavors, these will be fun during Christmas and winter, I bought extras!

That tree is spectacular. I do enjoy shopping, usually, but since the pandemic hit, I almost prefer online shopping.

Sounds like fun! I still wear a mask inside any store, even at the drive-through bank and McDonald's because the worker is wearing a mask. I carry my cell phone in my pocket while shopping. The holder is cute, but it would take someone a quick, silent flash to steal your phone. Linda in Kansas

I have enjoyed shopping locally these last few weeks too, completing my Christmas shopping. Masking is mandatory here. but I would do it anyway.

Haha! Love the shopaholic explanation! I'm going to steal that one! The Rockefeller tree is so pretty this year, but I missed the lighting. We saw the Rockettes one year when they came to Seattle. My Dear Mum took all the 'girls' in the family and we had no idea it was going to be our last big outing with her. We have wonderful memories of that day. My favorite Christmas movie is 'It's a Wonderful Life', and I also love 'Christmas Vacation'. Those hot chocolate spoons are great! Hugs xo K

Beautiful quote about helping the economy!
The Center looks spectacular with all those lights and decorations.
I always wear a mask in crowded places.

Hello, The Rockefeller Tree looks beautiful. I like your quote about helping the economy.
The chocolate spoons sound yummy. I have my booster and will still wear a mask inside the stores.
Take care, have a great day and happy weekend!

I do not go to stores often and had no idea about target's cards until I saw this picture. I wish I could have seen the lighting of the tree at Rockerfeller but alas I do not get TV any more only streaming services. Thanks for the pictures they are great.

thanks linda...i had not thought about someone stealing it. i wear leggings a lot and they don't have pockets. the new variant, omicron, has been detected in new jersey. people are so foolish to go mask-less!!!

Yes I watched the show, it just amazes me when they show it lit up, you can hardly tell there is a real tree under there with all those lights. We just put up our lights outside yesterday, and today all I managed was getting our tree up inside, now to light and decorate it.
I don't think our target has those kind of shopping carts. Wow no mask needed, that would be strange, we have had to wear them indoors for quite a few months and I don't see an end to it either. I think we would probably wear them anyway. There are some people very little that will not wear them even though the signs say you have to, but they don't kick them out or anything.
Looks like a fun shopping trip, it's hard to just come out with what you went for :)

I'm a chocoholic so those spoons looked yummy. Wow, a pre-assembled Gingerbread house; that would help me a lot. I do love to look around and shop; but don't do it much anymore. Covid ruined some of this for me. Do wear your mask; I think we aren't through this yet.
Attending the tree lighting at Rockerfeller center does looks so fun. I can imagine that the tree is beautiful. I loved the photos and thoughts. Sending hugs your way!
