Singing, Splashing & Sleeping!!

If you have never heard a Red-Winged Black Bird chirp you are really missing out.
This male was singing it's little heart out!

Watching a bird bathe is another treat you really need to see to appreciate.
This Black Bird was having the time of it's life.

My, My...what a large birdbath you have!

This elegant Swan slept with one eye open, you can never be too careful you know.

- and in closing -
A bird does not sing because it has the answer, it sings because it has a song!

Hello,
I love hearing the Red-winged Blackbirds singing. Great captures of the splishing and splashing. The swan must does sleep well with one open all the time. Great series! Take care, have a happy new week!

The blackbirds are fascinating birds. All the males are so loud and there are so many of them. The females are quiet in comparison and less obvious.

He does look like he was having a great time in that water that's for sure, and I can see why the swan would have one eye open with all that going on.

I enjoy watching the birds take a bath. They get quite aggressive at times.

Bird song is a good reason for being outside. Now that I drive with the top open in my Jeep, I hear birds sing on the way home! lol Hugs!

Awesome photos! I think the swan is unimpressed by the singing and splashing! LOL

I loved your closing thought. I think you got spectacular photos of the Black Bird and the bath looked like it was having fun. You seem to capture their personalities. I loved the Swan photo too, of course.
Sending hugs your way!
