The Baby Birds

I checked the baby birds this morning and they are doing well.
Momma and Poppa Cardinal are not too thrilled when I check in, so I do it pretty infrequently.

I found the nest on May 2nd

I spotted these 2 eggs on May 13th

The babies hatched on May 18th

This is how they look today May 26th...
They still have a few days to go.

Birds of a feather, flock together.

How fortunate you are to have a nest you can check on so easily. I understand your reluctance however.

They look to be doing well. It will be interesting to see them as they leave the nest.

That's awesome! I've never seen baby cardinals in the nest.

I can't get over how big their eyes are, I bet mom and dad aren't thrilled but it is neat seeing the different stages!

Debbie - it is simply amazing how fast birds develop! So happy to have this "bird's eye view" of their progress! Have a super weekend!
