Lake Of The Lilies

The last time we visited Lake of the Lilies on January 28th,
I saw and photographed several birds.
I primarily see sparrows at the lake,
but I also saw a Mockingbird that really wanted to have it's picture taken.
The birds hang out in this tangled mess of shrubs.
Hundreds of Sparrows sit on the outskirts, when you stop your car, they all jump to the inside.

I also saw this beautiful Mockingbird,
only getting small movements from one picture to the next.

It is dark and gloomy outside...
no snow today, I think we are going to get rain instead!

I would love to see those sparrows. I’ve never seen a mockingbird. Sigh..l

What sweet faces you've captured and yes, dark and gloomy is something we have far too much of too. Although today there's a bit of sunshine around, and yet our temp right now is 7 degrees going down to -10.

They are so pretty but hard to see in the winter limbs. We have some Sparrows eating under the feeders today. Stay warm!

Fantastic! Mockingbirds can be quite photogenic. Better rain than the freezing rain/ice we're supposed to get.

Yes, that Mockingbird was just waiting for you and your camera to show up.

Debbie - lovely captures of the birds! It is snowing lightly here, with a temperature of 10. Going to be even colder tomorrow!!!

It always amazes me how fast they can move around in all those branches, somewhere they can feel safe :)

Those are fantastic shot so the Mockingbird. I do love the little Sparrows. We see a lot of those by our feeder. They do like to flit around.
Blessings and hugs!
