Saturday Critters ~ 374 ~

When the snow comes, the birds are abundant at the feeders...
it's so hard for them to find food on their own.

Male House Finch

White Throated Sparrow

Song Sparrow

Dark-Eyed Junco

Mourning Dove

And just when you think you are going to get a close up of the Male Cardinal
a "few" branches get in the way!

Do you see what I am dealing with? hahaha

Hello Debbie,

I have most of the same birds here, except for the Song Sparrow. I have not seen one in my yard lately. They do enjoy the feeders during the cold winter months. Wonderful captures of the birds, they are all beautiful. We have more snow/ice coming today. Stay warm and safe. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

I think our birds have lots of practice finding food in the winter so not as many come to our feeders. That's my excuse anyway!

The cold and snowy weather has made the activity around my feeders almost never ending. In fact, today when I filled the seven feeders, the turkeys marched through the woods just a short distance and waited until I was done so they could return immediately to enjoy the seed I sprinkled on the ground for them and the other ground feeders...jp

You need to 'train' Mr. Cardinal to pose at the right place. Lovely pictures.

How pretty 'your' birds look against the snowy backdrop.

I love the photos. There is nothing more fulfilling than helping animals in the winter. Right now it is -16. I don't know how they do it. Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean we can not keep up with the food they are going through right now and so many to watch, even Opie can't get over all he can sit and watch through the window :) I love when they puff up like that, great pics, even with the branches :)

hi there, Mrs. Debbie. i gotta see what u have been up to lately, sorry i have been MIA lately ... hope u r well. i will go read some posts to see what is happening. i always enjoy your snowy views. they warm my heart. no clue how .. considering they would truly be cold. we have had some snow ...not much ...but it is so pretty .. sticking to the trees. my favorite kind of snow if u can have one of those ...sadly the ice showed up later ... my hubby doesn't work outside any more ... only from home these days ... so that is great for him. he doesn't have to clean off his car any more. i know he is happy about that.
