Sights At The Jersey Shore

I often wonder if other towns have the same type of "artistic" sightings I see at the Jersey Shore.

Wharf Rat
by Seward Johnson made in 1993
This is the only one that was recently placed in Bayhead...
as you may know, he is famous for creating these traveling statues.
When I have seen them in other towns there were always at least 10.
This is outside the municipal complex, right by the ocean.
Bayhead is a very charming town, with a lovely seashore vibe.

Every Holiday, "a special someone" visits my favorite beach...
Howe Street Beach in Bayhead.
Each special event and season the beach is decorated  with shell sculptures.

This Easter Bunny is what our special someone designed for Easter...

This tree is the same,
always changing with the seasons.

This may be the prettiest Red-Bud Tree I have ever seen.

The day ended with this gorgeous sunset!

What a pretty walk! That redbud looks like it's been pruned and well taken care of; very pretty. (Redbud is somehow the state tree of Oklahoma, but I see more of them in Kansas.) Linda

Perfect end to a perfect day! I loved every interesting thing you shared. and no I don't think every town or city has as many lovely quirky fun photo ops as your area does. Thanks as always for sharing. The Easter Tree is wonderful and so is the redbud tree, which we don't have in the Pacific Northwest. I always remember the first time I ever saw one in full bloom.. we were just at a rest stop somewhere out your way and I was taking a jillion pictures and just oohing and aahing. Some guy asked me what I was seeing that was so interesting. He said dismissively 'oh that's just a redbud, we have a lot of them here'. I thought what a sad attitude -- I could never get tired of seeing this gorgeous tree. I'm glad you can't either. Thanks Debbie (for everything).

What a fun post! I love the bunny in the sand and the beautiful tree decorated for Easter. I have lots of redbuds blooming in my woods but I've neve seen the blooms on the limbs and trunk. Very interesting.

Debbie, such beautiful Easter imagery and that redbud tree was lovely as was the sunset. I was saddened to read about the NJ wildfires which are very near to where we formerly lived in South Jersey. The Pine Barrens have sadly been susceptible to any fires over the years, and it's unfortunate that this is being called the worst one.
