Saturday Critters #592

It has finally warmed up here at the Jersey Shore,
it feels like spring and has allowed us to get out for a few nature walks.

All of the landscape is waking up and the critters are returning to Lake of the Lilies.

Mockingbird

Coots

Red Winged Blackbirds

Egrets and lots of Turtles.

This pretty Purple Tulip Magnolia was in bloom at one of the homes there.

I am waiting to see the few magnolia trees around here in blooms too. A few weeks away though! Love the birds, especially the coots. I haven’t seen them myself.

The red winged blackbirds sing a pretty song! Love that flowering tree and all the birds you've seen. We have a neighborhood mocking bird though...kind of crazy at times! Ha!

Hello Debbie,
Wonderful photos of your bird sightings. The Mockingbird, the Coots, Egret and the Red-winged Blackbird are all captured beautifully. I have not seen Coots in a long time, I have to find a spot where I can see them. The magnolia tree is lovely, it has a lot of pretty blooms. I hope the wildfire was not anywhere near you, I saw photos of it on the news. Thank you for sharing your link and critter post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank so much for leaving me a comment.

I've never seen a mockingbird before -- always wondered what they looked like!

I love mockingbirds! Texas statebird! Don't know if I've seen a coot here though.

It's not warming up around here! About 2°C or 34°F and raining here, just about my least favourite weather! Great shot of the Coots; we'll see our Magnolia in about another month or so!

Dang! You snapped great bird shots. I didn't know the names of any and found that helpful. Thank you!

I saw a Magnolia in bloom yesterday but it will be a bit chilled today,
Love your shots as usual.

Hi Debbie :)
I have been away from blogging for few days and it's not easy any more to catch up, but when I visit I'm sure of a pleasant time. Your Mockingbird images are wonderful, and the Coots and the Red-winged Blackbirds are both stunning, as are the Magnolia blooms. They are in bloom here too, always a lovely sight.
All the best
Sonjia.

Our Mockingbirds have come back here too, love the pic of the turtles and Egret, when we were going to my doctors appointment yesterday, Greg saw a whole bunch of them near a pond sunning themselves, I totally missed it :(
