It's Tulip Time

Daffodils are lovely,
mine put on quite a show this year but my favorite flower that blooms in Spring are tulips.
The hubs planted 450 bulbs last fall, the deer, yes I have deer, and squirrels did feast on some of the bulbs,
filled their bellies but did save some for us!

Around the mailbox.
Red, yellow, white and a variegated red.
The variegated ones are shorter and are late to bloom.

The same color tulips have been planted here in the center garden.
In this garden, I had a lot of Daffodils, most have finished blooming.

I love the colors the hubs picked.

I love this birdhouse, made of all recycled material, it's one of a kind...
the hubs bought it for me as a birthday gift and it is my favorite!
We have a lot of walkers in our neighborhood and everyone who goes by the house just loves the tulips!
It was unbeknownst to me that we had deer.
They "relieved" themselves on the driveway so I went back and checked the ring footage,
4 deer that night.
I am both excited and terrified for my flower and vegetable gardens.

We are planning a trip to Longwood Gardens for this Friday, I can't wait.

The tulips are all beautiful... it's a joy... just like this lovely birdhouse. I really like it, too.
And - my garden is now a tulip paradise also, and it's nice that not all of them bloom at the same time so you can enjoy them longer.
I hope you all have fun on your trip... the weather is fantastic here at the moment.
Best wishes from Viola

“How exciting to have deer in your yard,” said the woman who has never lived where deer live. Sigh!

Our house came with tulips. Since we moved here in fall, we had no idea. Imagine my surprise when I saw them blooming. Your place looks amazing with the tulips. Such pretty colors. Picturesque.

What a wonderful bunch of Tulips! We can't grow them because squirrels dig up the bulbs. They don't dig up any other bulbs here, but they do like Tulips!

Oh your yard looks just beautiful with all the blooming flowers, so sweet of hubby to plant them every year. Glad the critters left some for you all to be able to enjoy this spring.
