and there is good reason for that...
With only 3 main ingredients, olive oil, onion and parmesan cheese,
the recipe said they are fun to make and "delicious" to eat.
I used a shallot, I think they are a little sweeter and you can add whatever spices you like on top.
Onion powder, garlic powder, italian spices, smoked paprika, pepper...
anything but salt, there is enough salt in the cheese.
I had these dips on hand, we tried dipping in both, the dill was better than the ranch.
My honest opinion, these were not great.
But, I'm sure they were overcooked at 15 minutes, the recipe said 18 - 20 minutes,
I'm so glad I checked on them.
I found this recipe for Crispy Parmesan Potatoes on Pinterest and I am going to try them next.
I'll keep you posted.

Onion ring chips with a twist sounds like a fun recipe to try, even if they didn’t turn out exactly as planned. The shallot substitution is a great idea for a sweeter flavor, and I love the creative spice mix you used. It’s always good to experiment with new flavors, especially when you’re trying to find that perfect balance. I can imagine that a few minutes of overcooking could make all the difference, but it’s great you kept an eye on them!
I’ll be curious to hear how the Crispy Parmesan Potatoes turn out—those sound like they could be a winner. Looking forward to your update.

This must be amazingly delicious. Yum
As a huge fan of onion rings, this recipe seemed tempting, Debbie, until I read your final comment. Hopefully the crispy potatoes will be enjoyed more.
I do love onions, and I have had onion rings but never these. Thanks for sharing!
They look so good so it’s disappointing that they were a disappointment. A for effort, though.
