Let me begin by saying that it is freezing in New Jersey.
We have had a couple beautiful days and we have been able to take full advantage of those days.
Looking at the
Spring - Summer Bucket List we have already crossed 3 things off...
all three were beautiful, magnificent day trips.
Day Trips are my favorites.
So....why do I feel like I am losing my mojo?
I thought about it, went back through some pictures and decided that I have it, I just wasn't feeling it.
Mojo by definition - a magic charm, magic power...but for me it is the way I feel,
my excitement, my desire to be happy and positive.
So I am making a deliberate effort to find joy in the little things I am doing,
and organize my mornings and days a little better to be sure I include the things that are important.
Here's a little recap...things that might help you find your mojo, if it's missing.
They will brighten your space, fill your home with a lovely spring fragrance, and give you mojo.
- I harvested my herbs -
but forgot to take a before picture, they have been growing really well in the new pot I purchased.
I need to make something with the Basil or dry or freeze it.
I had use for all the Dill and Scallions...I made Pasta Salad.
Pasta Salad
I used my freshly harvested herbs, the dill and scallions...
and added a red pepper and a shallot.
This was so good and cooking, when I have the time, really makes me happy.
Here's the recipe card for the Pasta Salad, in case you would like to try it.
I do not add chicken to mine.
You can see the recipe card is well loved, I have made this so many times.
- I ate a Peeps -
I don't really like Peeps but I just had to buy these at the Peeps display in Peddlers Village.
Rice Krispies Treats Peeps
I like Rice Krispies Treats, I have never seen these before and I just had to try them...
they were o.k., not horrible, I made my dental appointment immediately after eating it...hehehe
Perhaps they are new for this Easter.
- looking up -
It always makes me smile when I find something random like this.
Up in a tree, where you are definitely not expecting to see it.
- keeping up with my Bucket List Calendar -
This Bucket List Calendar is so much fun, I am using it only for the fun stuff,
No Dr. appointments, testing, blood work, nothing medical.
I may buy more stickers for the Bucket List calendar,
the activities we enjoy are not all well represented with stickers.
to support those small farmers.
I have also been knitting, a bit but I don't have any pictures to share.
I started adult coloring again.
I am trying to clean up the pictures on my computer, both those in folders and those on my wallpaper.
I want to start watercolor painting but I am so afraid of doing terribly.
I have all my supplies.
Do you have specific things you do when you feel your mojo is slipping away??
What do you do?
I have more on this topic for tomorrow!

I get it, Debbie, because some days the same feeling happens but then, like yourself, I start working on a project and recently it has been listing some things on eBay, not in the hope of making a lot of $ but to “relocate” items which have some value. I may do a post about these in future weeks. Your bucket lists are always fun and day trips are wonderful, which reminds me that it’s been a while since we’ve taken one, so soon.
Hello Debbie,
For me the weather affects my moods and mojo.
I think it is great to bring flowers inside the house, they are a cheery sight. I like the birds in the tree. The photo of you with the wings made me smile. Have a happy day and a blessed Easter week!
I have been feeling similarly, Debbie. Plus I have put off filing income tax for last year. Deadline is the end of April here. Today may be the day…the weather is miserable.
Thank you for the beauty you bring to every day, my friend!
While I am not missing my mojo, I do love your indoor herb garden! Question.... do they attract little bugs?
NO!!!! i personally have never had a problem with bugs on them.
Judging by what you shared here, you have WAY more mojo than I do! Everything looks wonderful -- pretty, delicious, fun. That said, doing the necessary things isn't as easy as the fun ones.
All things you can feel joy in - and spring has sprung!
Your blog is beautiful Debbie! I did need some mojo, thank you!!
I know how you feel. Wish i had some positive advice. I think my MOJO is with yours somewhere.
When I was in college, there was a band in a little town in Louisiana called French Settlement that played the Mojo song. Your post reminded me of that. And yes, mine has been a little low lately too. I may make a pie... that usually perks us up around here.
Hi there Debbie, I remember when you first got that neat little indoor garden....now look at it! Big healthy plants! So fun to see. Love that cute picture of you too. And I'll try the recipe, it looks delicious! PS...your "daffydills" are so pretty!
I feel this is the coolest spring we have had, but I know it won't be long and I will be complaining it is too hot so trying to enjoy what we got :) My mojo is with my cardmaking, sometimes it just isn't there but I have cards to make for people, some turn out good and others not so much, I think back that it probably wasn't a great day for me but I knew I had to get it made to get it out in the mail. I tend to look at everything I have and then I get an idea and then I am on the go again. When I feel I am losing my joy I start to pray and thank God for all that he has done for me and given me and then I can read through my thankful journal and that brings me joy to look back on.
I do like those birds in the tree :)
All the best Jan
