Apricity

I learned a new word this past weekend...
Apricity
an old English word meaning "the warmth of the sun during winter".
I think it is such a "pretty" word.
We tend to notice the sun more during winter, don't we, often we are noticing the lack of it.
When it appears, it lends a bit of joy to the day...
a happiness we don't feel on those days when it does not make an appearance.
We appreciate it more during the winter than the summer, because we see it less often.
That is often the case with many things!

- yeah we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun -

Hello,

I usually sit in my south-facing window, just to enjoy the warmth of the sun.
