I'm Ready...

On October the 6th of last year, the hubs and I were in a really horrific accident.
I don't remember much, all I know is what people have told me.
We were driving straight through an intersection,
and a car, coming in the other direction, turned and "t-boned" us.
The impact caused our car to roll over several times across the intersection.
When the car finally stopped, it was upside down.
The accident was not our fault, the driver of the other car was issued 2 tickets.

I'm finally ready to show a picture of our car after the accident...

it was a few months before the hubs showed this picture to me.
The airbags saved us.

Here's our new car, the same Lexus SUV only 2 years newer, a 2023.

I spent 4 days in the hospital for various reasons, nothing life threatening.
I felt terrible for the young girl who hit us, she was not injured, but her brand new Tesla was totaled.
Of course, our car was as well!

This is not meant to be a poor me post...I hope it does not upset anyone...
I was just ready to share the following message...

- in the blink of an eye it can all be taken away, be grateful always -

Hi Debbie, I got upset reading your post and seeing your car upside down. You are so right in moments like these you realise how lucky you were to be alive, and grateful for another chance at life. I'm so sorry you were hurt, but the trauma takes a long time to get over.
All the best Debbie.

Oh dear, what a terrible accident and I can see why it took you quite a while to look at the photo of your car and to post it. What a blessing you two survived. Your new car looks sturdy and safe. I thank God through out the day for his protection and love, He saw you through it.

Hello Debbie,
The accident looks horrible. I am glad you were wearing seatbelts.
I am sorry you were hurt but have recovered and able to talk about the accident. The last quote is so true! Take care, have a happy weekend.

I remember when you told us you were in an accident and had a cast on but I had no idea it was this bad. That would indeed be dramatic. Your new car is beautiful.

What a spectacularly dreadful ordeal! How absolutely incredible that, thank goodness, you survived to tell the tale. This truly is a reason for wearing seatbelts and airbags in cars. It's like getting a chance at a second life as well as that newer car. Wishing you nothing but health and joy going forward.

Oh my lord Debbie -- thank God for the airbags. That looks absolutely frightening. Although I understand that newer cars these days are built to do exactly what yours did --- take the brunt of accidents while protecting the people in them the best way possible. A crumpled car, as you show, can be replaced. You have a wonderful attitude, showing empathy and caring for that young girl. And your final message is definitely one not to forget.

Oh, my dear friend, I am grateful you two are OK from this wreck. The photos are horrific, and I am so happy you survived. Unfortunately, I missed this due to not reading blogs, and I'm unhappy. You are often in my prayers when I know you are struggling, especially with a health concern.

I love your new car, and I love Lexus cars. We have a very old one, but it has been such a good car for us.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way!
