Paper White Party

At my house, right now, we are having a Paper White Party.
I look forward to this time of year every year, the season in which the Paper Whites bloom.

These bulbs were planted on January 23rd,

and as you can see - I was rewarded quickly.

Less than one month after planting the bulbs in river rocks -
adding water every other day...

you are rewarded with these beautiful flowers.

The blooms are tiny, delicate - they shimmer just a bit,
and the scent they provide is amazing.

The plant in general is about 22 inches tall right now.
Not all the bulbs bloom on the same day,
so it's fun to have new flowers almost every day.

Don't they smell just wonderful? My Mother did this every year. I used too. I don't know why I don't now. I guess I forgot.

How exciting and they are beautiful, of course I love your backdrop you used to take the picture too :) That is great that they don't all bloom at once, always nice to be able to enjoy them over time!

I bought two hyacinths at ALDI on Tuesday - one pink and one purple! I love the fragrance and am anxiously waiting for the blooms!

The flowers are very cute. I did grow Paperwhites once, but had totally forgotten how the flowers looked. I do recall they had a wonderful fragrance.

Hello Debbie, well I'm staggered at how quickly they grew - and so high. They're gorgeous - no other word for them. I can see their leaf shimmer in some of the photos... so lovely :D)xx
