My Little Titmouse...

This little Titmouse loves the camera.
He does, it's true, he never flies off when the camera comes out -
not only that, he turns on the charm.

On Sunday, he had his back to me, the window was open and I spoke softly to him.
He turned slowly and stayed right on the same branch as I continued to talk.
We have some kind of connection, like after all these years he appreciates the food,
and knows that I am not going to hurt him.
I photographed this beautiful bird for only about 30 seconds.
I am sharing way too many pictures in the order I took them.

He flew right on to the feeder, right next to me, enjoyed a seed, and flew off.
I closed the window after that thinking...
I will let him eat in peace and quiet...
and he did just that by making several more trips to the feeders, he likes the sunflower seeds.
I love this bird and the connection I have with all my birds.

What great shots. But what's best about it is the way you captured it against the background so perfectly!

I love them, with their little top-knot. Reminds me of a gray Cardinal, but so much nicer personality.

I'm glad you posted all the photos!! He deserved a complete photo shoot!!! We had two birds fly into the house yesterday. It was entertaining. I have three doors and one wondow open so they eventually found their way out. It was fun seeing them fly to the wreathes and other stuff around here.

Aww...I love your little feathered friend. I truly feel that birds know when you are not going to hurt them, and they especially enjoy the food over the cold winter months. Looks like you definitely have a keeper!

What you are experiencing is something so many fail to recognize. In short, birds are incredibly intelligent, but more than that, they are very related. I have, and have had, pet birds for most of 30 years now, and oh yes, they are just amazing when it comes to relating to people. You just have to notice it, and you obviously have! :-)
These photographs are simply incredible, Debbie, especially the 4th and 5th ones. Absolutely gorgeous!
xo.

Hello Debbie, there's never such a thing as too many photos - you're in blogland... we love to see them.
Your sweet little Titmouse is such a pet. Your way with birds and how they respond to you is always a beautiful thing to see - and the way they touch your heart. It's always a delight to be a part of that as you share your encounters.
Thanks Debbie, a lovely start to the day (over here ;D)) đź’ť
