Longwood Gardens...

The weathermen said the high on Sunday was going to be 67 degrees.
At 10 a.m. the outside thermometer read 60 degrees...
A road trip to Longwood Gardens was in order to see
The Orchid Extravaganza

The Conservatory was transformed into a tropical oasis
with this 12 foot tall archway of pink orchids.
This was extraordinary!

Giant orbs of orchids hang over Exhibition Hall...

and this purple and white curtain of orchids cascades down one of the walls in the conservatory.

Orchids are everywhere throughout the four acres of indoor gardens.

Those blooms are amazing! I love your "selfies", too - you look like you're enjoying your outing. And what's with this weather? we just went snowshoeing in 2 feet of snow that is quickly becoming slush!

Oh my goodness, what a BEAUTIFUL PLACE! I've never seen ANYTHING LIKE THAT BIG ARCH--first photo! That is so pretty. So glad you shared these. The pictures are gorgeous and the colors so nice and clear. We had a very busy weekend at the Wildlife Expo and I am so so so tired but it was worth it as we had fun and learned alot and we got to meet Jeff Corwin, which was neat! It did get pretty hot and sunny here yesterday.....I definetly wore too many layers and was roasting, LOL Recovering now and going through my hundreds of pictures, a long process, but a fun one!
