Home Chef

At the close of summer, I started receiving my
Home Chef Meals
again, usually 3 per week.
I love getting a big box of food, it is so convenient, and the meals are really great.
It's not a super bargain, although I did a meal comparison here,
and the Home Chef meals are less expensive by a little.

So let me show you what "we" have been making,
yes "we" the hubs has been helping a lot!

Sweet and Sour Pork Meatballs
with Rice and Slaw

This was awesome!

Chicken Breast with White Wine Cherry Sauce
and Wild Rice with Goat Cheese and Brussels Sprouts

This was really good!

Classic Chicken Piccata
with Angel Hair Pasta and Lemon Caper Sauce

This was awesome!

Chicken Breast with Pecan Sage Crema
and Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts

This was awesome! The sauce was so good, I left out the sage, I don't love sage!

Pepita-Crusted Chicken with Chipotle Demi Glaze
and Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts

This was really good! We loved the honey with the brussels sprouts and I left out the chipotle.
I had yukon gold potatoes that needed to be used, so I added them mashed.
I have been using a ricer to mash my potatoes
and they have been so good!

And next up...
the hubs did not want me to cook while I had my horrible cold,
that was way back before Christmas, so he cooked.
He is quite good at preparing these meals and he did all the clean up as well.

The perks of having a cold, it was a bad one!

This is sausage, he made little balls with it as he stripped it from the casing.
I don't know...I don't care...he really did an awesome job!

He kept the kitchen quite clean while he was cooking...
you can see the DayQuil and Nose decongestant on the counter.

Creamy Sausage and Walnut Pesto Cavatappi
with Grape Tomatoes and Baby Spinach

This was so awesome!

Every single item needed to prepare these meals is included, except EVOO and salt and pepper.
We generally have 11 - 12 meals to choose from each week,
and we never have any trouble picking 3 that we like.
My meals are delivered on Tuesday which is perfect for me.
Each meal feeds 2 people and costs $ 20.00
Now that we are home more with the colder temperatures,
it's nice to get the meals,
and all of the ingredients delivered right to the door.

Hello, the meals all look delicious. I am afraid my hubby would not like most of the seasonings. He likes very plain food. He has to watch his sodium intake too. I do enjoy cooking trying new recipes. Wishing you a happy day and a great weekend ahead!

There's nothing here I wouldn't try and like! Very good stuff! Glad you had a substitute chef during your illness!

I think this is great and would consider it if we are home more often.

Don't you love it when hubby cooks? I do. It isn't very often, but it's so nice and always delicious. I tried one of those companies once. My daughter used them for a while (maybe still does) and told me to try. They were good - fresh and delicious. But I didn't continue with it. But all your meals look wonderful.

I'm pleased you continue to like using 'Home Chef' and your own 'Hubs Home Chef' looks quite at home in the kitchen :)

All the best Jan

isn't he just a sweetie to fix some meals while you were sick, that's nice that he cleaned up well too, usually I don't get both... glad you have this to make in the winter time, it sure is nice to have something brought to the house instead of having to get out and get it all yourself.

I hope you're feeling better now, Debbie. The food really looks good, and reminds me I bought frozen brusels (how do you spell that, lol) sprouts after seeing a recipe for cooking in the oven. I like them, but not all people do. They taste like little cabbages to me. :)

It's great that Chuck can help you! Y'all are quite the team.

xoxo
