Saturday Critters ~ 291 ~

More pictures from my exciting nature/critters/bird week.
These images were taken at Lake of the Lilies where I have visited several times this week.
I found the Egret first, I think, he thought he was hiding behind the grass.

I quite liked the grass in front of it, I think the pictures would be rather boring without it.

Then I saw the Great Blue Heron...

It never moved...I have 22 pictures that look exactly like this!

There are at least 100 Mute Swans here also...all around the lake.

If you missed yesterday's post about the Black Bellied Whistling Duck,
you can view those pictures here.
It was a thrill!

Three very stately birds you are featuring here, Debbie.

You got a nice two-fer with the egret and heron! Beautiful photos! It's amazing how long herons will stand without moving. It must be a decent size lake to hold that many swans!

Great photos. Having something in the foreground usually provides interest. All gorgeous creatures! I often take hundreds of photos to get one good one.

Hello Debbie, I love all your waders, the Egret is beautiful. Love the GB Heron, they do stand still for a long time. The swans are lovely too, I do not see them often. Great collection of photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. Thanks for all the past visits and comments on my blog.

My favorite is the Swan with the reflection...looks like a painting! I stand and take more than one when something doesn't move! I always hope one is in good focus! lol Enjoy your weekend!
