With Fall coming,
I thought these knitted leaves would be a great new project
to use up small bits of leftover yarn.
I plan on knitting a bunch and making the garland that is pictured with the pattern.
I have not gotten very far,
I had a lot of trouble getting started
- ugh -
I had to learn two new stitches and the YouTube videos were very confusing.
Thank goodness for Leanne, she is making them too,
she was my inspiration, and she was able to "talk" me through it.
I'm not sure what I would do without her.
I am still working on the Chevron Baby Blanket.
I am finally getting tired of the repetitiveness,
I will finish this one and then take a break from these.
When this one is finished,
I will have four blankets done, waiting for babies.

Always love to see your knitting projects :)
A lot of hopes and dreams knitted into those blankets Debbie.
You have so much patience!
Blankets waiting for babies... oh! :) Before they even arrive, you are preparing.
Hello, the leaves are cute. The garland will be lovely. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
yes sandi, it is an easy knit for me now and i thought it would be a good idea to knit them "ahead"! instead of rushing when the time comes or running out of time!!
It seems like you have accomplished so much in a short time, Debbie. Just beautiful, everything you make.
xoxo
Your fall leaves will be beautiful...
Well, if those leaves aren't just the cutest! I look forward to seeing your autumn leaves finished.
Hugs to you!
Try to go on Debbie... the final result looks so pretty!
Oooo!
Love the leaves. I have a coat to finish; and I promised Wyatt a red sweater. I looked at yarn while I should have been shopping for my classroom. shhh! Hope your week is going well! Hugs!
Just love the colour of the leaves - great idea.
All the best Jan
You make me realise it's a long time since I knitted anything. I used to be a bit of a whizz. Thanks for the leaves - so pretty. Cheers from carole's Chatter
The yarn you are using for the leaves is the perfect color.
I do love that baby blanket.
The leaves are pretty in that variegated yarn.
Pretty leaves!
I loved the house sparrow post too. I have mostly house sparrows. The bird people in my life give them the stink eye, saying the push out the other song birds. I like their fluffy bird butts nonetheless. xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life
those leaves are really neat and I so love that yarn you are using, such pretty color range and just perfect for the leaves, can't wait to see your finished product. So glad Leanne is there for you when you get a little stuck, Youtube is nice but there is nothing like having someone in person to learn from.
Wow, I love the color of the knitted leaves. Happy you could get help to figure out the pattern. I can crochet or knit if someone shows me but I can’t read patterns at all. I know; kind of lame. Always, enjoy your projects. Your blankets are lovely.
Blessings and hugs!
I can't believe you've made 4 blankets! - Wow! I am really looking forward to seeing that garland - such a cool idea.
