Why We Love Stonington

It's a charming seaside village, a peninsula...
From the point of Stonington, you can see three states,
Connecticut - Watch Hill, Rhode Island and Fishers Island in New York.

Stonington has Noah's and we love Noah's!

They make the best blueberry pancakes I have ever eaten,
they are so light and fluffy!

I ordered hot chocolate, and never expected this...
- get out of town -
this is the best hot chocolate ever, look at those chocolate swirls,
with fresh whipped cream!

Everything was so good, we went back the next day for another breakfast.

This was awesome!
Toast, avocado, a thick slice of fresh tomato, white cheddar...
crisp, and I mean super crisp bacon and one egg - sunny side up -
And the orange juice, fresh squeezed, of course!
YuM!!

Stonington has this beautiful lighthouse,

built in 1840.

Perhaps a sailing class.

The air was crisp, the breeze was cool...the view was spectacular!!

Debbie - I would eat breakfast three times a day if my Hubby would make it!! So I am drooling now over your food pix … Love the shot of all the sailboats - they appear as white moths dancing on the surface. Enjoy your week ahead!

I'm not sure what I like best...the food, lighthouse, or views! My goodness, the food sure looks fantastic! Beautiful stones on the lighthouse!

Wonderful!!!! I love that hot chocolate and WOW! That breakfast! How I wish I could visit some of these amazing places!I was planning a trip up the eastern seaboard next year - in September - but now I'm not so sure. I'm going to watch and see how Louis Dean acts on our upcoming trip before I decide. He sure has been grumpy about it so far and yet he will probably have the time of his life! If Summer could ever get some of her health back - she would love to go with me. I want to see New England in the fall one more time.....

How wonderful to be tripping with your dear husband, seeing all the glorious sights, drinking in that fresh sea air and last but certainly not least enjoying all that fabulous food. Sounds rather heavenly to me!

Wow, now I need to go in and have some bacon and eggs. Loved the photos of the food and now my mouth is watering for hot chocolate. This looks like such a quaint place. The lighthouse looks magnificent. Hard to believe that it was built in 1840. Stunning photos of the ocean and sailing boats.
Also, a spectacular photo of the two of you.
Blessings and big hugs for this one!
