First Stop, Noank Connecticut

We slipped away to spend a few days in Connecticut...
Our first stop, right off the highway was Noank, Connecticut!
You may wonder "what's in Noank"?

Well...Abbott's Lobster in the Rough is in Noank Connecticut

This "shack"

that serves this food...

Lobster Bisque, Shrimp & Corn Chowder...Shrimp in the Rough

and the main event, Hot Lobster Rolls

This Lobster Bisque is the best I have ever eaten.

This is the view...

you enjoy your food outside, at picnic tables.

There are sailboats everywhere...big sailboats.

"Thank You for choosing Abbott's".

"Please ring the bell to let us know that we got it right.
Have a safe trip home".

Lunch was so good and the view here is amazing!!
We love this place!!

I didn't want to drive you up the wall with a million comments, but do want you to know that I caught up with your summer trips -- all the posts I missed while we took our little jaunt to the Coast. I *loved* every single one of your posts -- so beautiful in summer 'up East'..... love how you capture the scenery and the fun stuff and the good food.... your posts always make me feel like I've been along for the ride (and I wish we had!). such fun.
