The Pink Flamingo And Summer Traditions...

It is a Summer Tradition...
Moonstruck Restaurant and the Peddle Boats.
It is such a fun night, so we decided to do it twice.
but I had been eyeing up the pink flamingo, so why not go back...
and go back we did.

Moonstruck

as seen from the lake.
Three stories tall, we ate outdoors on the third floor, it was a beautiful evening.

I always, always, always forget to take a picture of dinner...

but never of desert.
This was mine,

banana cheesecake for the hubs.

The Pedal Boats are across the street,

the pink flamingo was waiting for us.

Here we are, loaded and ready to take off.
This is a family run, small business,
the kindest people, they always remember us.

And the young man who took this picture,
well, he's awesome!

Wow, those desserts look delicious but they also look like a whole day's caloric intake in one serving!

What a lovely evening. I think it would be hard to decide which paddle boat to take. Yummy deserts. I would have a hard time choosing that too.
Have a lovely weekend.

I agree that you only live once, and everyone makes their own choices of course - and so they should. But most of us will never face Titanic situations and our lifestyle certainly contributes to our health which affects ultimately how we are able to enjoy the life we only live once.

I know that feeling about forgetting to take a picture of dinner, I'm so eager to dig in, and worst yet is when you're celebrating a birthday and forget to snap their decorated treat for you! At least you got a wonderful dessert photo! This seems like a lovely place to visit too!

Last word on this topic I promise! But I was reminded of it last night when a dear friend fiend of mine who never met a dessert she didn’t like called to say that she has been diagnosed as diabetic. Furthermore she has the bulk of a football linebacker and has been instructed to lose weight. You are right that we only have one life to live but I am quite sure that wise eating choices enable us to live that life with more vigour and enjoyment. As I said - last comment! My lips are sealed!

i know you mean well david and i don't have a "completely" different perspective. i think it is very important to eat healthy and i do. do i slide a desert in here and there, you bet i do. i know so many people who never had desert, ate healthy, exercised every day and were then diagnosed with cancer and have passed away at a young age. SUPER HEALTHY PEOPLE.

always ate right, never drank, never smoked, never did drugs...i just described myself and i am living with multiple sclerosis. it is not a pretty disease. at times, i have lost the ability to walk and to take care of myself. i lost the ability to feed myself and to take pictures!

when i was diagnosed with ms, i weighed about 130, i am 5'4". i had 2 children, was very active and have always taken very good care of myself. no one can tell me why i suffer each day with this disease and although i have the ability to walk right now, i live with the fear of loosing that ability at any moment. i also live with some pretty awful neurologic symptoms and a lot of pain, and yet, i smile every day.

and i will eat desert, whenever i want to!!!

It would be hard to choose between those two desserts! But as for the paddle boat, it's the pink flamingo for me, no contest!
