Summer Movies

Back on the 8th, we enjoyed another movie,
"under the stars"...

Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Ark

It was good to see Harrison again...and the rolling rock.
What I love most about these movies is being outdoors in the evening.
Pier Village is on the ocean so the temperatures are always cool,
and the movies are never crowded.
We bring our comfy chairs and lot's of snacks.

And on a day

when you needed a dozen of these just to survive...

we decided to hit up the 3:30 show of
Mission Impossible Fallout

Once again, the place was packed...
NOT!!
Doesn't anyone go to a summer movie anymore when it feels like it is 100 degrees outside.

The movie was good, I guess.
Typical "Mission Impossible"/"James Bond" type...
are they the same thing or different??
I like Tom Cruise as an actor, we saw this movie before we went to Connecticut,
and quite frankly as I am writing this, I don't really remember it.
I do remember that the air conditioning was awesome,
that was the best part.

So to summarize, This was good...
The Strawberry Lemonade was better!!

I haven't been to the movies in forever, but Ron and I did go to the show to see that movie. I think there were five people in the theater here too.
The really interesting thing I think you will like is Ron's cousin is the guy who filmed the scenes when they skydive jumping out of the air plane. That is his business. His helmet he uses makes him look like a reindeer, but he does it all while skydiving. When you see scenes of skydiving, its his cousin Craig. Next time I see him I have to ask about that scene with the lighting. He has been skydiving like that for years and years.

How fun to see Harrison in the open air with the sound of the sea nearby. I love open air movies. I would love to see movies from the golden age.....Gone With The Wind....Roman Holiday....An Affair to Remember. Yep.....Clarke Gable, Gregory Peck, Cary Grant....I wouldn't mind seeing them one bit on the big screen, under the stairs with the sea air close by. =) You do have the best fun, Debbie.

Oh, this does sound fun. This is definitely something my husband an I would enjoy doing. We love to go to summer movies. An outdoor one sounds great. We used to go to drive in movies, alot. I liked the Indiana Jones movies and the Mission Impossible ones. We did see this last one too. The only problem is the stunts are so impossible. The lemonade looked yummy!
Blessings and hugs!

The outdoor movies under the stars look like lots of fun! How do you sit out there w/out getting eaten alive by mosquitoes though??--do y'all not have them there? They are awful here.

Hahaha! An excellent movie review. Yes - I think they might be all the same movie, but a good escape all the same. And since you don't really remember it, it will be all new when you see the next one - kind of... The strawberry lemonade looks fantastic, though - I would definitely remember that!

I guess many people just wait for the movie to come out on Netflix, but for me, some movies need to be seen on a big screen - like action movies. We saw the latest Mission Impossible, and although I would prefer a romcom or other genre, I did enjoy its plot twists … we also just saw Christopher Robin and I consumed a whole packet of tissues - lovely, lovely movie!
