Please Wash Me Car Wash

We went last year and the Sunflowers were stunning.
Back we went this year because it was just too beautiful to miss.
A family owned business, husband and wife, started a car wash that was struggling financially.
His business was difficult to see because of the adjoining corn fields,
so they opened things up and  planted a field of sunflowers to attract business.
But now the sunflower field has become it's own thing.

We walked the grounds, hung out and took a lot of pictures.
First it was cloudy...
then it was sunny, but it mattered not,
the sunflowers were all the sunshine we needed!

Sunflowers over corn is a positive step from every consideration. And given the price of the sunflowers that I buy for my bird feeders a good economic switch I would imagine.

I so love sunflowers, and cannot grow them. So, I'll just enjoy yours! :)

Did you get the car washed? lol

oh sally, so funny you asked that question. we planned to but it poured down rain most of our way there and the car was spotless when we arrived. we should have anyway, they absorb the entire cost for the field, to support them and show our appreciation!!

There is a cheerfulness about any sunflowers.

What an amazing story, I hope they do make it and seriously I love a good car wash but the sunflowers are such and extra bonus too. It reminds me of Wall Drug, and how they prospered from giving away free water! True family business stories are the best.

"I can see you"!! Love the photos of your and your hubby. Every sunflower should wear a pair of sunglasses! Aren't sun flowers the happiest of flowers. I would imagine the owners of the car wash are very busy these days. If only every car wash was so colourful and happy.

Sunflowers are just so very happy. Debbie I am having issues with blogger right now. You left such kind comments over the last few weeks and I only just saw them tonight. Add to that, I am unable to comment on any one’s blog or my own.??? I am on my phone posting now! I am so beyond frustrated.

To one of your comments... I know we would be fast friends if we were to meet. Hugs!

Wow, this was a delightful post. I loved the sunflower field, of course. The best I think was your creative photos of the sunglasses, the two of you and the single photos of you peeking through the sunflowers. You are amazing at this.
You two are just so cute!
Blessings and hugs!

Loved your pictures! We went again this year too and had the best time! We especially loved the 'ginger' sunflowers scattered throughout the field! It reminded us of a field of SMILES!!!!
