I took these pictures in Mystic Connecticut and boasted about taking pictures of a Heron. But it isn't a Heron, (big sigh) it's an Egret......I am still excited to share them and super happy that my title did not read "The Connecticut Heron!!!!
Don't you just love his fluffy white tail feathers!!! I had to "scale" a wall, cut back brush and climb down rugged terrain to get these pictures!! O.K.......that might be a slight exaggeration BUT it was something like that!!!!

It's beautiful! Don't feel bad - I glanced out our window one day and thought I saw an eagle. It was a buzzard. Oops!! Still one of God's creatures!
Beautiful photos! I love those tail feathers too!
Your efforts were well worth capturing these gorgeous images!

Beautiful photos. Well worth a few bumps and scrapes, eh?
I don't think I've ever seen one of those in the wild. So cool!
I am the worlds worst at telling you what kind of bird I am looking at. Whatever it is, it is beautiful. Thanks for going that extra mile just for us.

(Just quietly, I think I'd have made the same name mistake LOL :D)).
The things we do for a photo, right?
Egret, heron... I wouldn't know the difference, Debbie. Your secret is safe with me.
