Spring Babies

These two beautiful Mallards are the proud parents of three babies.
I suspect there may have been more,
but when I saw them a few days ago, there were only three.

- Male Mallard -

- Female Mallard -

- Pa -

- Ma -
- can you see the babies, one on either side -

- one baby on either side -

- two of the three babies -

- this is the last image I took of the two proud parents -
It is amazing how much goose poop one will walk through to get a good picture!

The mallards, so common but so beautiful!

Debbie - ah, the glories of goose poop. But so worth it for photos like this!

P.S. Reproduction is a tough business in the natural world!!!

Well I love all these pictures so much I cant even pick a favorite! ha ha Love the green shiny head males the best I think....but the little babies swimming in that shallow water is so cute too. Gosh Debbie---you just GET THE BEST BIRD PICTURES!!! They are all so pretty to look at and so close up so we see all the interesting details. I'm so glad you share them with us. Happy Friday. Y'all have any bike adventures planned? We are supposed to have showers off and on here, so not sure what we'll be up to this weekend. Take care and stay safe!!

I'm smiling or lol on the goose poop thing. We have them across the street in a canal and they sometimes come up on our property. Yup; love the poop!!
The Mallard photos are spectacular of this sweet little family. The male is a beauty with that color. The female is lovely and the babies are precious. Loved this one! Hugs~
