Saturday Critters ~ 338 ~

Picking up from last Saturday,
I am going to share information about and pictures of the newest emerging butterflies.

On Sunday, we released a total of 5, #19 - 23,
I placed them on the red roses and them seemed to like them.

This one stayed on my neck for a while, others fly right off.

Tuesday I released 2,  #24 & 25
Both of these hung around for a while,
I had to leave, when I came back, they were both gone.

#24

#25

Thursday we released 4, #26 - 29

On Friday, we released 2, #30 and 31, they took off like they were getting paid to,
no pictures, only memories.
I continue to get a little teary eyed as they fly off.
I had 52 at the start of winter, if they all emerge, I still have 21 coming.

Hello, Debbie

Beautiful butterfly images. It is amazing you are able to raise these butterflies and release them. I think one wanted to give you a hug before taking off. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great weekend.

You are a proud parent and rightly so. The beauty in the small things is so easily missed.

What an amazing process and then to get to this point...to release them! That must really be exciting. Love the one on your neck and on the red roses! Just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing...and for your friendship! Sweet hugs!

Debbie, those Swallowtails are so beautiful. We have done this also, but not to the extent you do. And I loved releasing them, watching them dry their wings in the sun, then flying off. It makes you feel good. I remember one time I had surgery scheduled for that morning and I had one butterfly to release. This one flew around me a few times before taking off... and I had the feeling that all was well.

Dear Debbie!
Thank you very much for admiring the phenomenal butterflies.
It's like a miracle, from inconspicuous caterpillars they turn into wonderfully beautiful insects.
A healthy and nice Sunday for you and your husband:)

So funny how some stay and pose and others just fly away, such pretty coloring.
Did he tickle your neck, that and the one of it on your finger are neat pictures, how fun!
