Saturday Critters ~ 341 ~

Our Egrets are back...
and even though they have probably been back for a while,
my first sighting was this past Sunday.

I saw the Great White Egret first, it appears to be in breeding plumage.
Males and females look the same and without a medical exam,
you can not tell them apart.

The Great White Egret emanates a message of great compatibility and heaven sense.
It's message is that a prosperous time is near,
or has arrived.
You have completed the tasks to do that were before you!

Next I saw a Snowy Egret.
The Snowy Egret is smaller than the Great White, has a black bill and yellow goulashes (feet).
They represent liberation, wisdom, magic, love, luck and joy!

I loved the reflection in these 2 images.

I saw both of these at Lake of the Lilies,
which is proving to be a great nature preserve this summer.

Beautiful! Like the swans, the white and blue are a great combination. I know they're not, but they appear to have a perpetually angry look on their face! LOL! Glad they're back!

Hello Debbie,

Love your Egrets! That Snowy doesn't mind getting its feathers wet. I have seen a Great Blue Heron swimming in our lake like a big swan-- rather briefly but certainly in deeper water.

I absolutely LOVE it when you can get a few when they are fluffing or preening! It always tickles me. We've been seeing the orangey color on the Cattle Egrets here but not yet on the Great white! How amazing these photos are. Enjoy your weekend!

I've never seen an Egret taking a bath before. You got some great shots of both types of Egrets.
