This year I purchased my Paperwhite Bulbs at my favorite garden center,
Barlows in Sea Girt, New Jersey
I planted them late this year, later than I usually do.
I always plant them in the same pot, I use the same stones,
you can use either stones or soil.
I only planted 6, that's really all you need for a pot this size.
They looked like this on December 18th, right after I planted them.
They looked like this on December 18th, right after I planted them.
It was late for them too, so they had a head start "sprouting"!
They grew very quickly and on December 27th, they looked like this.
January 2nd, in the full sunlight, they were gorgeous!
Fast growing, very rewarding...you can smell them in any room of the house.

They are a glorious tease for spring in the heart of winter. Beautiful!
A touch of Springtime! They are perfect (and I remember that aroma!)

They are lovely Debbie …
Hope your week is going well.
All the best Jan
Debbie - what an inspiration! The purity of the white and the profusion of blooms gives me hope in these times when events can seem a bit gloomy.
They are so pretty!
I really need to do that one of these years, I just can't get over how fast they grow and they are beautiful all in bloom together, I can just imagine the smell!
