What's Good??

There is a lot of good stuff going on on the home front...
and since I had a long stretch of being home because of the blizzard,
I am going to share all the random, inconsequential stuff here.

This is actually a very boring update, only exciting to me...
and truth be told, it is not even that exciting to me.

My "blizzard" flowers are still looking awesome,
this is how they look today.

I finally got my new glasses, purple of course.

I love my new MacBook, I mean love, love, love!!

I planted some indoor herbs, Chives and Parsley!

I got snail mail...
this beautiful handmade card from Connie at Connie's Crafty Creations,
and yes...it "is" a card!
She makes the most amazing cards, so beautiful and personal,
I hope you will stop by and say hi.
Many thanks Connie, I am going to find a special frame and frame it.

Yesterday, I picked up these 2 planting kits at
The Christmas Tree Store.
$ 1.50 each, I have used these kits in the past and they are awesome.
I will wait about 2 weeks to get them started.

I made some REAL Hot Chocolate...

2 Cups of Milk
2 Cups of Heavy Cream
8 oz of Chocolate Chips
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
1 Teaspoon of Coffee (I used a large pinch of instant coffee granulars)
1 Pinch of Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon of Sugar

Heat in a saucepan till warm, top with real whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

This was very good, but very sweet.
I will make a few adjustments next time I make it!!

Friday I had lunch with 2 friends from high school
that I still keep in touch with but don't see often enough.
I know Anna reads my blog, I'm not sure about Louann...
Thanks girls, lunch was awesome but the best part was seeing both of you!!

You love the "crazy" things.
And if you "unlock" them, they will be exciting to you, and to us.

How nice and what beautiful pictures today Debbie. Your computer looks wonderful. So much better I think for photos. It can do laps around the computer I have. I love your flowers at the top of your page. So pretty in that jar. Yay for your new glasses. I am still not wearing any because of my last migraine. I am afraid to try it again.
Your hot chocolate is great. It looks so pretty. I love that you have your kits to start your egg plant and your tomatoes already. Not to mention the other things you have been planting you have such a green thumb. Have a wonderful day today Debbie.

I am going to check out that card site. I remember my Mother making "real" hot chocolate. She had a special Sterling Silver pot for it and small cups. It tasted so good! I think even better because of the fancy pot it was in. It was like having a Tea Party. :-) I have hot chocolate every morning--made with real milk, but Nestles Quik. Beautiful photos I might add.

Though I love to travel and go places (just as you do) I'm also a huge fan of enjoying the small pleasures of life, whatever they may be.... A new recipe, a pretty vase of flowers, the planting kit -- hope for spring! snail-mail! especially when it is a lovely gift from a friend! Just full of happiness. I enjoyed this post very much.

Your flowers are still looking great, glad you are enjoying your new computer! Looks like soon you will have a little garden growing in your house, I love planting and watching things grow :) Oh your hot chocolate sounds wonderful, and I bet from scratch it tasted wonderful!! Oh how I wish I lived closer to my friends that I grew up with but we are a nine hour drive from home. Glad you are able to get together every once in awhile. Looks like the card made it there in pretty good shape, so glad you liked it!

I love the flowers and especially like the vase. I think it is awesome that you got new purple glasses and computer. I need a new laptop or a least worked on . It is so slow. The card is very unique. I have a daughter that makes beautiful cards. I think it is really interesting that you start planting so early. You are so good at so many different things. Of course, having a cup of hot chocolate is the best. Blessings and hugs!

Those flowers look as if they will be brightening your home for a little while longer; they are lovely. Love your glasses, and I would expect no other colour than the glorious hue of purple!
