Saturday Critters ~ 107 ~

I have several Mourning Doves that hang around the yard.
They are very friendly, enjoy having their picture taken,
and they make the cutest cooing sound that sounds a bit like
"ooahoo oo oo oo"!

I really like this capture of the Dove enjoying a good "scratch"!!

I see them more often in the early evening,
they enjoy the birdseed scattered on the deck railing,
and always enjoy a drink or bath at the birdbath!

They truly are peaceful birds. At my feeder they never fight for a position. They only eat what the other birds drop.

They look so innocent, don't they. But they're the most aggressive foul that ever visit my feeders. hahaha

We have quite a few of them that come to our bird feeder, I don't notice it as much in the winter, maybe because the windows are always closed but in the summer I will wake up to them cooing :)
Have a wonderful Sunday!!

I love the photos of the Mourning Doves. We had a Mourning Doves build a nest in our tree. They hatched three eggs.. The fledglings were so adorable. The parents were awesome. I looked up the history on them and was fascinated by how they parenting their little nestlings.
Thanks for sharing these sweet pictures. Blessings and hugs!
