Lancaster Yarn Shop

There are so many yarn shops in Lancaster, Pa.,
one on every corner.
They seem to be "almost" as popular as the quilt shops.

I decided to visit one, so as to not obsess over it,
and to for sure purchase some yarn to
make something to memorialize our trip!!

I choose Lancaster Yarn Shop,
it was a great choice.

I asked the owner if I could take pictures, she said Yes...
the rest is history.
I was like a kid in a candy store,
lets take a look inside this adorable yarn shop!!

And did I purchase any yarn you ask??
Well yes, yes I did!!
More on that tomorrow!!

Good morning, Debbie. I think you must have been in heaven while in this yarn store. It is a cute store, with lots of goodies to be purchased too. I forgot to mention I like your cute wrap on the balloon photos. But, I need to see it modeled up closer. Have a happy day and new week ahead!

Of course you did! Years ago, when there really weren't many around my cousin opened her own. She was just obsessed with yarn!

I am so glad knitting, crochet, and other yarn arts has experienced a renaissance of sorts. Maybe because of blogs like yours! Like Karen says. Not too many years ago it was hard to find a yarn shop. But now......
:) m & jb who is glad her fur is too short to spin. she would rather just rub it off on the blanket at night! As in, "Gee Ray, I guess she doesn't shed much." And then I washed the blanket and Ray vacuumed the rugs. Hum. What we have here is a covert shedder on our hands.

What a wonderful colorful yarn shop. There is no place like this to buy yarn where I live.

I love Lancaster and any shop there, but you are right. Their yarn shops are wonderful. I don't think I have ever seen, in person, a yarn jar. How cool is that?

What a very lovely store. Kind of quaint; and I loved the Yarn jars and spinning wheel. The photos told the story and I am sure you loved buying the yarn candy in this one.
Hugs!

Nice store and it's hard to go into a yarn store and not purchase yarn. It's been ages since I've been in a yarn store...must remedy that soon.

I even drool over the cute yarn and the store and how fun. I love yarn.
I can't wait to see what you bought. I am using your recipe for egg plant tonight. :)
I picked three this morning just because it is so hot today and I felt sorry for the poor plant. :) Now it will be dinner. :)

you're a yarn-a-holic.

I don't know if she is a sweetheart, but she does write about a whole lot of different things. One might call her "wordy" or perhaps even "mouthy". :-) Thanks for visiting Debbie!

I remember the times when I could spend hours just walking around a store like that. I used to do a lot of knitting and other handwork.

You are so lucky to have so many yarns stores! So many have closed out my way, and the closet one is about 15 miles away. I love yarn and do have a stash. I'm a knitter, my Mom taught me. Thanks for stopping by!
