There are only a few boats here during the winter.
Still, it is a wonderful place to park and watch the Ducks and Gulls...and the occasional boat come in.
Point Pleasant is a fishing town, with a lot of commercial boats.
Fishing is their life...the way in which they make their living.
So, even during the winter, the fishing boats are coming and going in and out of the inlet.
The inlet leads to this area, where the large commercial boats dock.
This area is accessible to everyone, to walk or take pictures.
I noticed a sudden scurry of gulls...which made me think a boat was coming in.
As we got in the car and left, there it was "The Norma K III" coming in to dock.
The Norma K III a very popular boat in this waterway.
The hubs stopped the car, I stood on the bridge to capture these pictures.
Back in 2023, while taking pictures here,
I was invited aboard the Norma K III and shared those picture here.

Hello Debbie,
Great photos from your visit to the inlet. I like watching the boats and the gulls love to follow those boats. Cute capture of the Bufflehead. Take care, enjoy your day!
I love the fact that anyone can walk the docks and look at the boats. I would definitely take a charter or two each year. I assume they catch mostly cod? Great shot of that bufflehead!
Love these scenes, Debbie! A reflection of my homeland.
Wow. Great photos of the water and the lines in the boats. Very cool shots.
Love the photos. I'm an inland lady so I really enjoyed the sky, water reflections and the boats!
I never tire of looking at boats and birds on the water. I've been to the Point Pleasant inlet many times since I have a cousin who has a townhouse right there at the corner of the ocean and inlet. Beautiful photos as usual. Thanks for sharing them.
Looks wonderful. Thanks for taking me with you. Love it.
