The Point Pleasant Inlet

There are only a few boats here during the winter. 

Still, it is a wonderful place to park and watch the Ducks and Gulls...and the occasional boat come in.

Point Pleasant is a fishing town, with a lot of commercial boats.

Fishing is their life...the way in which they make their living.

So, even during the winter, the fishing boats are coming and going in and out of the inlet.

The inlet leads to this area, where the large commercial boats dock.

Most of the boats were docked, the hubs says a lot of the commercial boats go out at night.

This area is accessible to everyone, to walk or take pictures.

I noticed a sudden scurry of gulls...which made me think a boat was coming in.

As we got in the car and left, there it was "The Norma K III" coming in to dock.

The Norma K III a very popular boat in this waterway.

The hubs stopped the car, I stood on the bridge to capture these pictures.

Back in 2023, while taking pictures here,

I was invited aboard the Norma K III and shared those picture here.

This Bufflehead Duck was swimming in front of the Norma K III as it was coming in.

It split in a flash!
