It's Going To Be A Long Winter

Let me begin by saying...I love winter, I love snow, I love being at home.
My hubby and I own a bit of income property and we divide the work that goes along with being landlords and property owners between the two of us.
I have a lot of hobbies and I never seem to struggle keeping myself busy.
With that said, I am going to have to put a little more effort into finding "content" for this space.
Today,
I am going to share some "randomness" as I navigate finding fun things to share with all of you here.

My KC Chiefs lost on Sunday, their season is over.
I will miss seeing them on Sundays, putting on my #15 jersey and rooting for my favorite team.
I will watch the other teams as the playoffs begin, and I am looking forward to watching the Super Bowl.

We live in the suburbs, on a small cul-de-sac, with only 7 other homes...
we have 3 new neighbors.
The Nuttery
offers great options for gifts like this that I thought were perfect to welcome them to the neighborhood.
I bought 3 of these, all the same and all of the new neighbors are really nice.

I saw these double sided tape rollers on Instagram...
as a crafter and former scrapbooker, I am always in search of good double sided tape.
I ordered these ages ago,
I had just about given up on ever receiving them and a few days after Christmas, they came.
I can't remember any other details about these, the writing on the box is foreign.

Thinking about next years garden, I again started to dry and save my egg shells.

A few weeks ago I needed some scallions, my plant was all used up.
I bought some and planted the root ends in soil and now they look like this...that was quick.

We live on a river and I did not get a before picture.
The reeds and seagrass had grown so high that standing here, you could not see the water.
We hired a company to come in and clear all of the overgrowth and once
again there is a clear sightline to the water.
Our house is 42 feet above the water....it is a large hill which is great for sledding.
There are a lot of ducks and wildlife in the river.
Unfortunately, once I walk down the hill I am unable to get back up.

It's a great spot with a beautiful view.
The guys did a really good job clearing out all the weeds and overgrowth.

You have so many great tips in this post. I am going to do that with some green onions I have. I only want the tops anyway. Thanks. P.S. I may blog about it....wink, wink.

Can you believe that the Chiefs only went 6-10? What is going on in this world?!?!? My Vikings did not do much better, oh well, next year.

The Patriots have come alive again. Happy dance. You live in a lovely place.
This winter is so long for us lots of snow and ice.

Your posts are always interesting Debbie, no matter what you talk about! Wow, that weed trimming sure made a BIG DIFFERENCE! Much better. I liked those trains in yesterday's blog, I have a question-- do those run around or are posed there? Either way, very neat, love that place! And your suppers WERE SO FANCY!! Glad yall got to go! I'm not a football fan but if the Lions are winning, I suddenly am one! A beautiful river view and the tape dispenser sounds interesting.
