Beyond Van Gogh

On Friday, I wrote about the Van Gogh exhibit we visited.
"I did not know much about Van Gogh and had only seen his artwork on occasion.
I had never read or studied any details about his life.
Still, I wanted to see this display, Beyond Van Gogh in Atlantic City, NJ"
We went last Thursday, none of his original artwork was displayed,
the exhibit told the story of his life, talked about the relationship he had with his brother,
how he viewed his own life and his art.

It took a little over an hour to see all 3 rooms and enjoy all of the artwork.
What a fun afternoon!

"don't stuff out your inspiration"

WOW

That really resonates with me. I needed to hear/see that.

It's strange, but I like the images when you and your hubby are in them, better than those without.

It does look interesting, I never knew he thought of being a preacher. I think Greg is a lot like him.

Beautiful pics Aunt Deb! We went to a similar show in NYC last summer and had a lot of fun. I love Van Gogh’s work, and studied him in school. Highly recommend the movie Loving Vincent which is about the end of his life, and the animation is all done by modern impressionist painters it’s a beautifully made film. I also watched a docu-drama a few years ago called At Eternity’s Gate which I really liked but James fell asleep watching 😂
