Mary Poppins

Our small local theater, The Algonquin Arts Theater, has great shows,
amazing sets & costumes, and a live orchestra.
We went to see Mary Poppins a real favorite of mine from my childhood, and the show was magnificent.

The tickets are very reasonably priced and we had excellent seats.
Made even better because a "giant" did not sit in front of me.

No photographs were allowed during the show, but I always snap a few during the curtain call.

They were awesome!

I cannot say enough good things about these two young ones, Jane and Michael Banks...
They both have a wonderful future ahead of them if they pursue acting or theater.

And then there was Mary Poppins...

she was "practically perfect", do you remember that musical number from the film?, in every way!

Here we are, we had a wonderful time.

Algonquin always sets up these cool posters, to take
pictures in front of!

I didnt even know there was a musical of Mary Poppins -- how fun!! I'd love to attend more local theater -- we used to do that but here in Eugene things kind of go on hiatus during the summer so that people can play outside when its not raining I guess. And that's when we're here of course.

I always manage to get a giant in front of me. It ruins the show.

What a wonderful moment for sure. I love these kinds of theaters. It looks like the cast was marvelous, and especially loved the photo of the two children. It brings back memories. My youngest daughter was in Annie when she was 11. She has a beautiful voice, and I didn't know until then how good she really was. Over 1,000 people came to this play over three days. It was so fun.
As always, I love your photos. You two are the cutest.
Blessing and hugs!
