Gift Giving

I wanted to share some things I gift as alternatives to flowers...
when you need to send something that says
"I Am Thinking Of You"
but don't want to send flowers.
I love flowers, but they wilt so quickly,
and I find some of these alternatives a little bit better.

These puzzles from Unidragon are wonderful wooden puzzles.
Each piece is in the shape of an animal, they are colorful and bright,
a challenge to put together but for someone recovering from and illness,
I think they are great.
They come in a nice wooden box, are priced on the higher end,
but definitely worth it.
Each of my boys have two and they love theirs.
Purchasing them on line is simple, hop over here to take a look.

can be sent for any occasion.
You can customize your order by shipping two, twelve,
 or anything in-between.
You pick the flavors, there are a lot to choose from,
t
hey ship very quickly, nationwide.
I have sent these cupcakes many times,
my boys love them...
and these cupcakes got serious high fives
 on Shark Tank.

I have sent
gift boxes to friends and family for a variety of occasions.
They have told me they really enjoyed the soup.
The gift box comes with soup, rolls, cookies and a soup ladle as well.
You customize your box, with your choice of soup and cookies.
This is great for a sick friend or family member.

Another item I send instead of flowers.
If you think it is odd to send a cake by mail, I did the first time as well.
So I sent one to us, and this Totally Turtle was outstanding.
I use these this company all the time,
for many occasions.
p.s. I just received an email that they are offering a 15% discount for on-line orders.
Enter code NPD22 at checkout for savings.

Last year I received a gift from a friend that came from
It was in a wooden tray like the one shown here,
a combination of nuts and chocolates,
I can tell you first hand this gift tray was really wonderful,
and I would not hesitate to use this company myself.
A local company that ships nationwide.

I thought both of these were super cute gifts
if your gift can be hand delivered.
Either could be boxed up and shipped,
but they are nice for hand delivering.

I found this as I was perusing around on Pinterest and thought it was so clever.
Wouldn't this Photo Map this make a great gift?

I think food is probably the best gift you can give someone recovering from an illness.
Homemade food is awesome if the gift can be hand delivered.
Also thinking of something that will occupy their time while they are recovering from an illness.
Last year I received a coloring book & colored pencils,
and that was great in keeping my hands and mind occupied, I enjoy coloring.

This post was not sponsored by any of these companies.

Oh I love that map and all of these great ideas. I found the pop up cards on Etsy and have sent those to a few people. Sure beats wondering how I'm going to shop for Hallmark cards! lol And so many help small businesses! SO that's GREAT!

I too thank you for sharing, Debbie. I've been trying to come up with some ideas to send a care package to my grand daughter in college. I usually bake the goodies myself, but with my Aga still out of service... those cupcakes are an interesting idea and that Totally turtle cake looked pretty darn good too.

Yes these are great ideas instead of flowers, it is always nice to know that someone is thinking of you and like you said it is nice to have something other than flowers to send!

Those are gorgeous puzzles. When my MIL lived with us we use to do puzzles weekly. It was a fun way to spend time with her. I will have to check out those cupcakes. They look so yummy. That cake looks amazing and oh so yummy too. Lots of fun little gift ideas. Thank you for sharing them.
